Coping with a medical emergency can be easier when a trusted friend or family member is by your side. They can provide comfort to you, additional information to emergency providers and can be an extra set of ears when learning about your diagnosis or treatment options.
In most cases, one visitor at a time is allowed at your bedside. This will allow your medical needs to be met and your privacy maintained.
Additional relatives and friends are asked to remain in the Emergency lobby area unless their presence is absolutely necessary for your care. Emergency department staff will keep friends and family informed about your care and treatment as much as possible. Minors may need to be accompanied by their parents.
Please understand that for the safety, comfort and privacy of both you and your loved ones, there may be times when all visitors are asked to step into the lobby.
